By Dr. Eleanor Vance | Published on January 01, 0001

Guarantee yourself a speedy win with a quick click through to today's answer. We won't tell anyone (promise), and it's always nice to see a clean row of green letters reveal themselves without giving yourself a headache first. A bit much? Not a problem. There's a clue for the June 25 (1467) Wordle waiting below too.

I made a nice tower of green letters today, thanks to a pleasant early reveal that quickly descended into what seemed to be an unshifting problem. No matter how hard I tried or what combination of letters I used, everything seemed to turn up grey. I did win in the end, but it was definitely because there were no other letters left to try. With a bit of luck, I'll do better tomorrow.

Wordle gives you six rows of five boxes each day, and it's your job to work out which five-letter [[link]] word is hiding by eliminating or confirming the letters it contains.

like LEASH—something containing multiple vowels, common consonants, and no repeat letters—is a good place to start. Once you hit Enter, the boxes will show you which letters you've got right or wrong. If a box turns ⬛️, it means that letter isn't in the secret word at all. 🟨 means the letter is in the word, but not in that position. 🟩 means you've got the right letter in the right spot.

Your second go should compliment the [[link]] starting word, using another "good" guess to cover any common letters you missed last time while also trying to avoid any letter you now know for a fact isn't present in today's answer. After that, it's just a case of using what you've learned to narrow your guesses down to the right word. You have six tries in total and can only use real words (so no filling the boxes with EEEEE to see if there's an E). Don't forget letters can repeat too (ex: BOOKS).

Originally, Wordle was dreamed up by software engineer , as a surprise for his partner who loves word games. From there it spread to his family, and finally got released to the public. Surely it's only a matter of time before we all solely communicate in tricolor boxes.
